My name is Erin.
In March of 2009, at the age of 39, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The week after that first diagnosis my doctors realized the cancer had already spread to other parts of my body.
I am a mom of three young children, and wife to a loving and supportive husband. I love gardening, chickens, and scheming about my next remodeling project on our wacky 1890's home on our magical 5 acre farm.
I am blessed with the most amazing set of organized, intelligent, and giving friends a woman could ever ask for. They have formed my "BRAS" support system which is a marvel in and of itself.
As I write this now, it is two years later, and after a long journey, my scans are coming back "clean" and cancer free. But I know that's just for now, just this scan: I am living with cancer as a chronic disease.
This blog is my attempt to journal through this experience and keep my friends and family up to date with what is going on.
I welcome your comments, your thoughts, your prayers.
